Hi, I’m Dev. My research focuses on advancing autonomous systems for scientific discovery. I split my time between the Global Ecology Lab and Exaforge Labs. At the Global Ecology Lab, I work on foundation models for predicting tree mortality and fire risk, as well as autoresearch for mechanistic models. At Exaforge, I explore broader questions around ultra-long-horizon autonomous research, simulations and evals, and machine creativity.

Previously, I co-founded a tech consulting company serving governments and spent several years building robots. Outside of work, I spend much of my time traveling.
